I first published this diary a month ago as Mitt Romney’s 'Every Town Counts' tour was making its way across Iowa.
It should come as no surprise that Romney's campaign drapes the venues for Mitt's speeches in Chinese made flags.
Romney in Iowa, American flags made in China

Romney reiterated his promises to put Americans back to work, and to make the country “the shining city on the hill” it has once been, a beacon to all mankind.
“Keep American strong!” he thundered, to loud applause. “So strong that no one will think of testing it!”
As the crowd trickled out of the rally, a few were less than pleased.
“The flags were all made in China,” said Jacob Shuck, 23, from Moline, Illinois. “Couldn’t they even take off the tags?”
Shuck was supporting Romney — sort of.
Flags are symbolic. They say a lot about the Republican Candidate for President. This is symbolic Mitt's empty rhetoric about how he'd get tough with China on trade policy. Everyone knows its a Paper Tiger. Its an American flag behind Romney's podium with made in China sticker on it.
