In two tweets from yesterday that UK's The Week describes as an anti-Britain rant, it looks like Rupert has entered the anger phase of imminent incarceration.
The first one:
"British spirit shows nation transformable by strong, pragmatic no nonsense, non EU type govt. Any prospect? Miracle needed."
You may remember that it recently came out that Rupert had tried unsuccessfully to strong-arm PM John Major into dropping out of the European Union. Bitter much, Rupie?
Then, later yesterday, the Dirty Digger tweeted this:
London Olympics great lift to UK. Low defeatist morale gone for now. Can it last? Entire organization shows what can be done.

Rupert, I think you're projecting. That "low defeatist morale" you ascribe to a great nation is merely your own. And that's because you know you are about to lose.
And in a story related only by it's indication of a worsening Rupert tweet psychosis, he also tweeted over the weekend that everyone should read a conspiracy theory anti-Obama book that has been widely panned by critics on both sides of the aisle. From ThinkProgress:
RUPERT MURDOCH: ‘EVERY VOTER SHOULD READ’ CONSPIRACY THEORY BOOK ABOUT OBAMA | Former journalist Ed Klein wrote a new book about President Obama alleging that former President Clinton called President Obama an “amateur” and tried to convince Hillary to resign as Secretary of State and challenge Obama in the Democratic primaries this year. The Clintons forcefully denied the claims, but that did not stop the Drudge Report from prominently featuring an excerpt of Klein’s book published in the New York Post. And now Rupert Murdoch, the owner of Fox News’ parent company, has tweeted that “every voter should read” this conspiracy theory-laden book. Here’s the tweet:
Long, long flight to LA read The Amateur (Bill Clinton's word) by Ed Klein. Every voter should read.

He's still trying desperately to influence world politics, despite his near-zero credibility in the wake of the scandal he built. As we watch a corrupt, power-addicted man crumble, we're also witnessing one of the most epic Twitter fails of all time.
Cheers.
Update 1:
From the comments, it appears Rupert's twitter meltdown continues today. Our AnnetteK found this gold:
Dozy old codger also tweeted today:
Rupert Murdoch @rupertmurdoch
Romney, Obama. Some species to compare, please. Courage and honesty needed.
closely followed by:
Rupert Murdoch @rupertmurdoch
Story about spelling! Tweet 30. Mins ago should read #"Romney , Obama some specifics to compare, please. Courage and honesty needed"
.
seriously, like that one made any more sense.
He's lost the plot. (-AnnetteK)
This is especially hilarious because investigators recently submitted questions to Col Allen, editor of Murdoch's The New York Post, about how much Rupert knew about a wildly racist anti-Obama cartoon that ran in his rag. The drawing depicted President Obama as a bullet-riddled monkey. (h/t BlueStateRedhead for legal advice for this paragraph! :))
Could Rupert be planning an insanity defense?
Update 2:
Kinda breaking, also from the comments, ceebs has discovered that M.P. Louise Mensch JUST RESIGNED! She was a staunch Tory supporter of Murdoch and his gang. Ceebs' comment in full:
plus, one of his biggest public supporters has announced today that she is quitting as an MP
BBC News - Louise Mensch to quit as an MP, triggering Corby by-election
Conservative politician and novelist Louise Mensch is to stand down as an MP, the party has announced.
The MP for Corby is moving to New York with her three children to be with her husband of a year, Peter Mensch, who is manager of rock band Metallica.
Her decision to quit will trigger a by-election in the Northamptonshire constituency, a marginal seat.
Before entering politics she made her name as a best-selling chick-lit author, under her maiden name Bagshawe.
This is big news, it means there will be a by-election in November, which the current figures suggest the party has an extremely large chance of losing.
