The beliefs of the GOP can be found in the comments made by Herman Cain that he hopes gas prices rise to hurt President Obama. The Republican Party would rather Americans suffer (well the 99% of us) than for Obama to be re-elected.
Herman Cain talking to someone on talk radio while guest hosting on the Neal Boortz show made stupid comments considering just how high gas prices were in 2004 as Republicans assured us that George W Bush had nothing to do with rising gas prices, anyway this is what he said
Cain was responding to a question by a caller, who asked if it was wrong to hope “that gas would hit $4 so people would realize that we need a Republican in the presidency.”
“That’s not wrong at all,” he replied. “If it hits $4 a gallon nationally, that would be a huge wakeup call for a lot of people who, quite frankly, aren’t paying attention. And the other reason that I would agree with you that it was not wrong in order to wake people up in that manner because sometimes you don’t wake them up until it hits their checkbook.”
Quite frankly people are not paying attention to Romney and his money guy Sheldon Adelson trying to buy the presidency, now this should be a wakeup call to voters. Come to think of it you know what else should be a wakeup call to voters, the presumptive presidential nominee Mitt Romney refusing to release his taxes and telling voters that it really none of our business to take a peek into his private life. There are so many wake up calls in this election and hoping gas prices go up and saying it out loud, WOW!
“Sometimes you need to hit people upside the head with a baseball bat in order to get their attention,” he said on the Neal Boortz radio show, which he was guest-hosting, according to Think Progress.
