Rick Santorum: Still confused about the Bible and stuff
Oh look. It's another surrogate for Mitt Romney
saying really stupid things:
"We have a president who, for the first time in American history, is directly assaulting the First Amendment and freedom of religion,” Santorum said. “He is going to tell you what to do in the practice of your faith. He is forcing business people right now to do things that are against their conscience, that they will have to – if you're a Catholic – you'll have to go to confession … to confess that you are complying with a government program that is a sin in the Catholic Church."
Just a few questions, Rick:
a) Which verse of the Bible addresses Obamacare again? I keep forgetting on account of how I can't find it.
b) Do supporters of the Paul Ryan budget—which is identical to, except different from, except pretty much exactly like, the Romney plan—also have to go to confession? Because Catholic scholars and Catholic bishops seem to think so.
c) Is it a sin to comply with government regulation of my vagina? Because my faith tells me that I'm obligated, in certain circumstances, to have an abortion. And since you're so concerned about everyone having the freedom to practice their faith as they see fit, I want to know, just in case.
I'll be waiting for your answers. Take your time.
