Today, my campaign released its second television ad of the general election, highlighting Allen West’s extreme rhetoric and divisive nature. In the ad, grade-school children recite some of my opponent’s most notorious insults, showing the bullying tactics and childishness that Allen West employs as a Member of Congress. Check out our ad and donate here.
I decided to run for Congress to get this kind of inappropriate conduct out of government so that we can focus on the issues that really matter like jobs, healthcare, and education. The residents of Florida’s 18th Congressional district need and deserve a representative who puts their interests over insults.
I am dedicated to putting those interests first and reaching across the aisle to solve problems. Regardless of our political differences, only by working together can we move our country forward. Otherwise, the government will remain gridlocked, with the needs of the middle class getting overshadowed by name-calling and finger-pointing. Well I have had enough of these childish games, and the American people have too. Allen West deserves a time out from Congress.
My campaign also launched www.whatwestsaid.com to remind people who Allen West is in his own words. These words and his votes speak volumes to his character and his inability to work with members of the opposing party to put the American people first. With your help, we can get Allen West and the harmful divisiveness he represents out of Congress so we can get back to the business of the American people.
Thank you for standing with me.
