It has come to my attention that the method used to "decorate" the number of recommendations received by changing the font to bold if that diary appeared on the front page recommended list has caused some misunderstandings.
I've tried to make it clear that I only check the front page list periodically, where the period = 6 minutes, so diaries that are on the list for shorter periods of time won't be on the list, but it seems this isn't widely appreciated.
So, in order to distinguish the meaning of the decoration on the high impact list more clearly, I intend to institute a minimum dwell time.
What should that cutoff be?
