Hey everyone. Here is a link to try out the demo of Tropical Heat, the jet ski racing video game that I have spent the last 3 years working on. It's my first game that I designed and directed. I didn't get a big budget for it, because we self funded, so, it's not Skyrim or Call of Duty, but I put my blood and sweat into it and I think it's a lot of fun.
Here's the link to the PC and Mac demo: http://tropicalheatgame.com/...
Here is a video of the game that focuses on doing tricks with the jet ski.
There is only one level in the demo. You can play on easy, casual or extreme difficulty. You can play as a male or female. You can play by yourself or with your friends with multi player. I suggest playing the tutorial first to learn to play. It's easy to play once you learn to play it. There are also videos on the website that explain how to get really good at playing. It's family friendly, so, anyone can play.
It's not for sale yet and I wouldn't put a diary up trying to sell it here. This is kind of a sneak peak type of thing where I am letting people I know play this, because I am damn proud of what I've accomplished and I am excited to show it to you. The people of this community mean a lot to me and it's my great pleasure to let you all see what I do.
Oh, and to Mitt Romney and the GOP, I built this game, but I didn't build it myself. I built it with a team. And I learned the math, art, physics, design and programming to make this game from public schools and the public library and online development communities where we all know that we would be nothing without each other. This ex foster child grew up to build things because I was fortunate to be born in a society that actually believes that we are our brother's keeper and that we are stronger together than on our own.
I hope you have a good time trying out the demo. Maybe it will give you some tension release after having to endure crazy week aka the GOP convention. Just relax and pretend you are in Hawaii on a jet ski racing around islands. :)
Love you guys.
