Over he last few days, the media has been making references and misleading guesses as to who will be the mystery guest speaker tonight.
I've heard mentioned ... numerous times:
Sarah Palin or Clint Eastwood
Chances are the mystery guest will NOT be a prominently known Republican.
A mystery (SURPRISE) guest must be a Democrat suitably prominent enough to embarrass Democrats and the White House, in particular.
My guess for tonight's mystery guest is former Democratic Congressman of Alabama, Artur Davis:
Former Rep. Davis announced in May he was leaving the Democratic Party and was considering another run for Congress as a Republican. What a better opportunity than tonight
to make that announcement. A former national co-chair of the Obama 2008 campaign.
I think this choice clearly qualifies as a surprise and an embarrassment to the
White House.
There may be other choices out there.
I welcome other guesses...
