I've fancied myself as a decent amateur photographer over the years and have managed to get some of my photos used in album artwork for my favorite band as well as sell a few prints here and there.
I've also been incredibly fortunate to run into President Obama many times throughout my travels and capture him in a variety of situations. So without further ado, my photo essay of President Barack Obama!
While I was traveling in backwoods British Columbia, I happened upon Obama just as he testing his new Memorex hi fi equipment (wilderness edition)
A few weeks later I was hiking through Washington State and found Obama enjoying a nice pleasant summer day in the Pacific Northwest:
Now the wonderful thing about President Obama is that he's willing to meet with ordinary members of the public in all walks of life in order to learn about their situations. Here's Obama meeting with ordinary road maintenance workers.
I admit that sometimes I get very excited and almost act the part of the paparazzi when I see Obama, a man who I great admire. I might have invaded his privacy just a bit on this day where he was relaxing in a friend's office.
and here's Obama going fishing!
Obama has been known to think over serious issues by the side of country roads.
I kept running into Obama (and this time the wonderful first lady, Michelle) on hikes. Here they are taking a break on a steep incline.
While on vacation in Ireland, I happened to run across Obama early one morning overlooking the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. It was a brisk morning, but very bracing!
And finally, a lovely shot of Obama at his summer cabin in the mountains. I love that although our president takes fewer vacations than his predecessor, he can get back down to the basics just like any other regular, hardworking American.
