How does Tom Freidman stay employed. I just finished reading his column, he is talking about the need for people to become "lifelong learners" if they want to stay competitive in the job market. How can that be, I am pretty sure Tom Friedman hasn't learned anything since he was potty trained. The man travels the world writing the same column over and over again.
If anything most jobs of the future will be lower skilled as manufacturing is replaced by service jobs, the real need for the future is to figure out a way to make service jobs and other necessary but low paying jobs pay more, I know how about more support of unions and a higher minimum wage.
Tom really should consider advocating for something that increases the minimum wage as its only a matter of time before he is replaced by a xerox machine.
