We've had lots of data on the Presidential race pointing to a Democratic win, which in turn makes one happy, and then fired up about winning and/or nervous about losing. Several diaries and comments over the past few weeks have pointed out the relative merits of "fighting like we're 10 points behind" in the polls, versus "fighting to run up the score." I'm not interesting in prolonging that debate.
This diary is about one thing: celebrating the forward momentum by posting the actions we Kossacks are taking to win this election. What have you done, what are you doing, and what will you do to get President Obama reelected? Keep the Senate? Take back the House? This is a celebration of what we have done so far, and a chance to brag about what we are doing between now and November. Please take the poll and post in the comments.
Handwringing and overconfidence are both allowed, but only if they accompany an action item.
Example, by a real life, made-up Kossack:
"I'm afraid that the GOP will suppress turnout in IMPORTANT SWING STATE (ISS). That's why I'm registering voters/donating to GOTV efforts/writing a Letter to the Editor in the WIDELY READ ISS DAILY NEWSPAPER."
And another real, equally awesome, also fictional member of Daily Kos:
"I feel confident and happy that Romney's sad campaign has no chance at the White House. That's why I will now focus on IMPORTANT HOUSE AND/OR SENATE RACE by donating to/volunteering for DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE."
Thus far, I have donated $ to President Obama's reelection campaign, and Elizabeth Warren's campaign (MA-Sen). Next month, I will be hosting a GOTV phonebanking party in my home. I feel good about our chances in November, and I'm fired up to keep working.
Let's remember to be courteous to real & fictional Kossacks about their feelings on the state of the election, and also thank them for their participation.
