I didn't see this posted anywhere (sorry if I missed it).  David Brooks really gets specific and personal in his criticism of Mitt Romney regarding his now infamous secretly recorded fundraising speech where he bashes the 47% "lazy" Americans.

The whole article is a MUST read.  I have a few quotes below the squiggly thingy ...

Like I said, the entire article reads as if it was written by the Obama Campaign. Also missing from this article?  Any lifeline to the Romney Campaign!

Here is how the article concludes:

Personally, I think he’s a kind, decent man who says stupid things because he is pretending to be something he is not — some sort of cartoonish government-hater. But it scarcely matters. He’s running a depressingly inept presidential campaign. Mr. Romney, your entitlement reform ideas are essential, but when will the incompetence stop?
That has got to hurt!

Go here to read the article in its entirety!

Here are a few other juicy ones:

This comment suggests a few things. First, it suggests that he really doesn’t know much about the country he inhabits.
It suggests that Romney doesn’t know much about the culture of America.
It says that Romney doesn’t know much about the political culture.
Romney’s comments also reveal that he has lost any sense of the social compact.
The final thing the comment suggests is that Romney knows nothing about ambition and motivation.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
