As I was reading news stories on the web today I came across a story that I thought warranted some attention. Sears and Darden Restaurants are both dropping health benefits and providing cash so employees can buy health insurance in the marketplace. Here is the link : http://chicago.cbslocal.com/...
Sears is (or was) a big company in Chicago and Darden is a big company here in Orlando and I think this signals a big shift in the way we do health care in this country. My fear is that people are going to get hurt in the shakeout and things may get worse before they get better. I intend no criticism of the ACA , I do not think we are at a point where we begin to understand what this means. I am just passing along a news story. But we do need to think about and discuss this.
