Sandra Fluke joined the campaign trail in late September. As she embraces the culture war, her future prospects seem to be on the rise.

Credit for her fame, of course, must be laid in part to ad hominem attacks by Rush Limbaugh which have continued well beyond the "slut", "prostitute", and "sex tape" cataclysm of February/March. In contrast to Fluke's rising fortunes, Limbaugh is in a slow downward spiral. Whenever he loses a radio station these days, conservatives immediately accuse liberals, the growing anti-Rush movement, or someone, of complicity.
For example, when Limbaugh and Hannity were recently kicked off of a radio station in Fresno the Fresno Bee observed that "many have suggested the changes at KMJ are a conspiracy to silence the conservative viewpoints of Limbaugh and Hannity." In spite of such finger pointing, the Bee concluded that "nothing so sinister" was responsible for the talk show hosts losing a Fresno station — the station dumping Limbaugh had expressed a desire for local control rather than domination by syndicated national programs. (A new venue for the Rush Limbaugh Show in Fresno is expected, but hasn't yet been identified.)
When Limbaugh recently lost a radio station in Boston, conservatives likewise promoted conspiracy theories. It seems the successes of groups like StopRush and Flush Rush have freaked out many of Limbaugh's ditto heads.
To the extent that ditto heads are spooked, they seem to sense what anti-Limbaugh legions consider inevitable. However, the strategy to Flush Rush focuses not on the radio stations themselves, but on supplying information to their advertisers. Rush is likely to lose some stations. But the losses will be the result of various market forces (including the increased information sharing for which some of us are responsible). Anti-Rush activists look for stations to assess their circumstances when contracts end, which in many cases points to next year.
The rising star of Sandra Fluke, on the other hand, seems to shine ever more brightly. The right continues to attack her, oblivious to their continuing contributions to her stardom, not to mention her determination and her apparent longevity in the spotlight.
Within the past few minutes, Sandra has accumulated 50,000 Twitter followers. Her Twitter conversations make news. Perhaps mindful of Limbaugh's depredations as well as her own code of honor, she has observed that "when you have a big microphone, you have to be careful." For someone with so many positive characteristics, the future does indeed look very bright.
Here is one example of Sandra Fluke's recent political activism:

Rush Limbaugh's talk radio career is in a slow downward spiral in part because of the activism of consumers, volunteers, and activists who seek to hold Rush accountable for his hate speech. One very active group in this cause is Flush Rush on Facebook. Flush Rush and other, similar groups use the StopRush Database to inform advertisers about where their ads are appearing.
