Remember Strategic Allied Consulting and it's founder, Nathan Sproul? You know...he's the fella who got into a bit of trouble a few weeks back for voter registration fraud while working under contract for the RNC. Well, it seems ol' Nathan isn't done yet.
Joseph Tanfani of the L.A. Times writes that Sproul is apparently still hard at work setting up Republican GOTV efforts. He references Bluenc.com, a North Carolina political blog, which connected some dots and found that Strategic Allied Consulting has merely morphed into a different entity called Issue Advocacy Partners and continues to operate just as if nothing happened.
Brad Friedman at BradBlog.com does a good job bringing the whole story together.
So, what happened to the RNC's supposed "zero tolerance" policy for voter registration fraud?
(Update #1)
Hungrycoyote pointed out that Think Progress has a piece on this as well.
Just Bob posted a link to today's Tampa Bay Times piece on the release of documents related to the criminal investigation into SAC's voter fraud.
Citizendc added a link that delves in to Sproul's use of shell companies.
(Update #2)
Citizendc pointed out to Just Bob & hungrycoyote that their comments just showed that Karl Rove's American Crossroads and Sproul's Strategic Alliance Consulting both share the same address:
45 North Hills Drive
Suite 100
Warrenton, VA 20186
Nice work, folks! Now THAT is some interesting information that I'd certainly love to hear more about
(Update #3)
here4tehbeer pointed out that the same address is used by Holtzman Vogel Josefiak PLLC, a law firm in which Jill Holtzman Vogel, the current representative to the Va. State Senate for the 27th District, is a partner.
Citizendc added that another Partner in that firm, Jason Torchinsky, is also a Lawyer for Americans for Prosperity, a Koch organization.
What a small, small world it seems to be when your mission is to pervert Democracy by any means necessary.
