I ride a commuter train every day. I avoid using my cell phone & try to tune out other people's conversations. Today I couldn't avoid overhearing one side of a conversation. As I got off of the train, a professionally dressed young woman walked past me. Apparently, she was unhappy about having to work late. I heard her say that she should have told her boss that she couldn't stay because she "had to go home & cook dinner & clean the house." She then said that she should have told him to "pick someone else out of the binder." My husband & I chuckled all the way to our car.
Romney, you do not understand women nor do the people who surround you. Those binders of which you spoke were actually created prior to your election as governor by MassGAP, a bipartisan coalition of women. Did you really think that the women of MassGAP would set quietly by while you appropriated their work as your own? Women in the work force are tired of training their new male boss rather than receiving the promotion. Women are especially tired of doing the work only to not receive credit. We want a president not a chauvinistic boss.
