The Democratic research super PAC American Bridge is going up with its first ads of the cycle, buying time in the Toledo area to hit Mitt Romney with a kitchen-sink spot based on the Monopoly board game.
The spot follows the game to hit Romney over the "let Detroit go bankrupt" headline, layoffs at Bain Capital, and his policy plans, with voiceovers from the candidate and some testimonials from Bain workers.
It's not a huge buy - $111,000 on air and $50,000 online targeted to Ohio. But the on-air portion is around Toledo, the Northwestern area of Ohio where the auto bailout has benefited President Obama.
American Bridge had long shunned attack ads, but the 2012 game is almost over.

The ad is a small but significant buy. Significant in the sense that the ad hits all the right cords; Bain, Outsourcing, government hypocrisy and tax cuts for the rich, etc - even Seamus has a cameo. lol.
