Dear Abigael,
I'm so sorry that you've had to deal with all the ugliness and fear from the media this year. It's very wrong that people who absolutely know better have tried to scare you on purpose. I'm here to reassure and tell you that Bronco Bama is very real, and he's here to help you and your Mom and Dad and he's not trying to steal your future.
I suspect that your Mom and Dad would probably tell you that this whole election thing is kind of like when you have to go to your Doctor and get shots. It really is scary for the whole time you're thinking about it, waiting for it to happen, and wishing that it would be over... but your Mom's right, it will be over soon. And when it's over, just like with shots, hopefully everybody will be a lot healthier and safer.
For a lot of strange reasons, many grownups are even more scared than you. That's why you hear all the mean things about Bronco Bama and his friend Joe Rootbeer. As people get older, they get hurt sometimes and forget how to trust others and trust their own feelings... they forget how to share.
Well, Abigael, that's what Bronco Bama and Joe Rootbeer are all about. They care about you and your Mom and Dad, whether you like them or not, and they want to help your parents care for you and keep you safe. The way they want to do that is make sure that your family can count on everybody else to share these responsibilities... that's what being a great country like America is all about.
So, Abigael, again, I am so sorry you've been so scared and frightened, and you know what?... I'm tired of it too. But, I think I can safely speak for myself and Bronco Bama and say, you've got a friend in me, and I hope we can count on your vote on Tuesday!
Best Wishes,
Dood
