Just watching the 11pm news on Channel 6 here in south Florida. A reporter was on the scene in Doral, where people were still waiting in line to vote. One guy they interviewed said he waited 7 1/2 hours. The reporter said that, despite the shortened early voting hours this year, almost as many people voted early or absentee this year as in 2008.
Despite Rick Scott's despicable effort to depress turnout, over 32% of Miami-Dade voters have cast their ballots prior to election day. The numerous problems have brought the U.S. Justice Department to Miami-Dade to ensure compliance with the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
