OK, so I voted earlier this morning, and now it's a bit of an anxious bore. I mean, right now I can't wait until tonight when I lounge out on here and Facebook, with periodic drop-ins on places like Drudge and the local affiliates of The Big Three as the numbers start to rack up, the confirmation icons start to appear, and the next chapter of America receives the opening paragraph.
To me, right now feels worse than before I voted. I guess some of that is due to the fact that there's really nothing to do but wait nervously (At least I'm not on any ballots!) for the next while and a half as the clock advances through the calm before the storm. And the weird thing is, during moments like this (before major events), I sit there just as nervous but hoping that this calm before the storm lasts as long as it can.
Am I being unnecessarily impatient? Is there anyone else who's feeling the same way? For those who aren't, any words of advice?
