First time posting, so be gentle...

Emailed and called my Congresscritter, Gosar in AZ and told his office in no uncertain terms...

Short and simple...Either you vote to extend the Bush tax cuts for those earning under $250K, and allow them to expire for those over $250K, or you don't vote at all and we all go down the slope together. I am perfectly comfortable with kicking in a few more hundred bucks, if someone making millions of dollars can kick in their fair share. And not sure, but if you swore allegiance to Grover Norquist by taking his pledge, I don't see how that can possibly NOT conflict with your constitutional vow you took when you joined the House.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

  •  Good for you. My rep is owned (0+ / 0-)

body and soul by the WalMart Waltons so I seldom bother to send him anything.   I personally climbed into the 2nd quintile about 5 years ago - still not very far into it - and I'm perfectly happy to go back to Clinton-era taxes.  Heck, I'd be glad to go back further than that - I grew up in the Eisenhower years when the top 1% paid at 90%, and even a lower-income family like mine could aspire to home ownership.

That way you can add some more meat to your diary and satisfy our hunger for verbiage.

I've got to say that your title reminded me of childhood days sliding down a hill on cardboard with friends until I read the content.  I didn't miss your point so thanks for the diary.  Welcome!
