I landed in Baton Rouge in 1997. It was both a exciting opportunity for me and kinda depressing because it is well, Louisiana. I have a love/hate relationship with this city. I did meet and marry my wife here and we have a wonderful son. But on the other hand, we have a governor who is killing the state. Since he was elected, then reelected, he has muscled through the entire tea party platform in hopes that it would better position him for President or at least VP.
And as I read the headlines my wife comes home this morning after dropping off our son at school. She has her camera and plugs it into my computer. This is what is on the screen.
Dawn at Campus Lake, Baton Rouge, LA.
There is more love below the fold.
These photos were taken just a mile from our home and despite the fact that it looks like the middle of a swamp it is in fact in the center of our city. Please enjoy!
