Today on FOX News Lindsey Graham allowed as how the Repukes will fold on the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy to avoid the fiscal cliff, er, curb in January.  Never fear, the Senator from SC doesn't disappoint.  The party of NO has this thing covered!

GRAHAM: In February or March you have to raise the debt ceiling. And I can tell you this, there is a hardening on the Republican side. We’re not going to raise the debt ceiling. We’re not going to let Obama borrow any more money or any American Congress borrow any more money until we fix this country from becoming Greece. That requires significant entitlement reform to save Social Security from bankruptcy and Medicare from bankruptcy. Social Security is going bankrupt in about 20, 25 years. Medicare is going bankrupt in 15 or 20 years. [...]
Yes, we will play that game, Mr. President, because it’s not a game. The game you’re playing is small ball. You’re talking about raising rates on the top 2% that would run the government for 11 days. You just got reelected. How about doing something big that is not liberal? How about doing something big that really is bipartisan? Every big idea he has is a liberal idea that drowns us in debt. How about maning up here, Mr. President and use your mandate to bring this country together to stop us from becoming Greece.
Aha!  That's the ticket!  Sound tough and tell the President of the United States to "man up".  That's some real leadership there Senator Sunday, I mean Graham.

And then there's the little tiny problem of taking the debt ceiling hostage, AGAIN.  You and your party of obstruction once more put in danger the full faith and credit of the United States of America.  Yes, again as you did last year.  And merely because you cannot stomach the needy, elderly, sick Americans receiving help from their fellow citizens nor can you stand people getting their money, yes theirs, they invested into SS and Medicare during their years of employment.  I remind you sir, these are not entitlements.

Are you and your ilk so eager to protect big business, banks, Wall Street predators and the rest of the bottom feeders that you think this is the way to do it?  On the backs of those with less and most often not nearly enough to keep the light bill paid?

Yes, of course you do.  And I hope your happy ass gets primaried and you lose big and have to go home to South Carolina and actually work for a living.  Oh, and an infestation of some kind upon your person would work for me too.

End of rant, for now.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
