It seems there are many topics that the right is OK with discussing, but gun control is not one of them.

Some after the squiggle...

Was the President born in America?
How can we cut Social Security?
How tall of a fence should we build on the border?
How do we stop non-existent voter fraud?
How do we keep the rich rich?
How do we keep the poor poor?
How can we block every bill put up for a vote?
Is the President a socialist?
What can we milk out of the Democrats before we raise the debt ceiling?
How can we reduce the number of people on medicare?
How can we rig the vote to win more elections for Republicans?
What can we name after Ronald Reagan?
How can we block all of the President's judicial nominees?
But nobody asks: How can we reduce the number of mass shootings?

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

  •  Don't Forget The War On Christmas (0+ / 0-)

They babble away about that constantly.  Apparently we're all trying to take Jesus Christ out of Christmas.

Who even thinks about doing that?  And....if we're not doing that, we're trying to replace Christmas trees w/ "holiday" trees.

    Anything but guns.

    •  Considering that there really is no Jesus... (0+ / 0-) Christmas in the first place, I'd love to see it gone entirely. Then we can get back to calling the holiday what it was before Christians tried to shoehorn Jesus into it when they stole the celebration from pagans: Yule. I'd be much happier if the celebration was still about the winter solstice and the returning of sunlight to our days here in the northern hemisphere because at least that is something real and observable. Given the supposed details of the birth of Jesus written in the Bible and knowledge of the culture of that time and place we can know that Jesus was not born in December, and thus has nothing to do with this holiday.

  •  The right's craziness (0+ / 0-)

It's a sad day when a statement made by someone on the right could be easily attributed to the Westboro Baptist Church.
