The Pope made me laugh today -- keeping the Christmas spirit light. He judged and attacked gay human beings but only in the lovingest of loving ways -- the way Christ would've if he could've. Below is an excerpt from the Pope's Christmas address:
" 'People dispute the idea that they have a nature, given to them by their bodily identity, that serves as a defining element of the human being,' he said. 'They deny their nature and decide that it is not something previously given to them, but that they make it for themselves.' "
" 'The manipulation of nature, which we deplore today where our environment is concerned, now becomes man's fundamental choice where he himself is concerned,' he said."
The funny stuff is just the man himself. I hope I can call the Pope simply a man without offending anyone; Christ was a man right? All I see is a weird, pampered, old man that wears beautifully made gowns, woven with the finest cloth, starched and pressed to perfection. On his feet he wears colorful, pricey Prada slippers. On his head, a special Pope crown embellished with gold. Around his neck a chunk of gold in the shape of a crucifix and on his hand a special gold Pope ring - to be smashed when he dies -- wasetful. One of his outfits must cost in the the tens of thousands of dollars.
The Pope lives his life with a bunch of other men. Any women around him are all house servants. These men all claim to be ceibate. No sex with another human -- not even themselves? That's a pretty unnatural choice. Now that is really funny.... a sexless guy prancing around in gold dresses and velvet slippers telling gays to act more naturally.
