I would just like to take a moment to thank you for protecting us from the tyranny of the Federal government.
I mean, yeah, I guess you guys didn't really do anything to stop slavery (which some people seem to think is pretty tyrannical) - that took the Federal government. And you guys didn't stand up and prevent segregation. That actually, again, took the Federal government. And you didn't do anything when paramilitary groups like the KKK were harrassing and killing people. But, hey, lets let bygones be bygones.
And, sure, despite talking about FEMA camps all the time, you didn't do anything when the U.S. actually sent people of Japanese descent to real internment camps.
And, to talk about the present day, none of you took up arms to defend against Gitmo, or the large numbers of people in prison for nonviolent offensives. Heck, some of you are the biggest proponents of such things.
Come to think of it, the one time a significant number of you took up arms to protect against Federal government tyranny - it was to defend your rights to own slaves.
But i'm sure you gunowners actually protecting all of us from tyranny is just around the corner. So I, for one, salute you.
