Good Morning Kossacks and Welcome to Morning Open Thread (MOT)
We're known as the MOTley Crew and you can find us here every morning at 6:30 Eastern. Feel free to volunteer to take a day - permanently or every now and again. With the auto-publish feature you can set it and forget it. Sometimes the diarist du jour shows up much later, that's the beauty of Open Thread...it carries on without you! Just let us know in the comments.

What an outstanding meetup we had Saturday at the beautiful Fort Cooper State Park in Inverness, Florida and our host and hostess with the mostest, Vetwife and her husband Vet were fun, gracious, entertaining and welcomed us all with arms open wide.  The food was fantastic and enough to have served 10 times as many people, but the best parts were meeting our friends face to face and the conversations.  I can tell you all quite frankly, that Governor Rick Scott's ears had to have been burning yesterday (he deserved everything we said about him too).

So, I'll shut up and give up the goods...

In this photo back row left to right Vet and DaNang65 (it's hard to see the two guys, but not to worry as I have other photos of them) - front row left to right gulfgal98 (a past MOT diarist), Vetwife, OleHippieChick and Caedy.
I took a separate shot of DaNang65 because he was always in the back of other group photos because he was the tallest kossack there and since he's a MOT regular I knew you all would want to get a good look at his front side since the only thing he shared with us before was his backside.  I'll let you all vote on which side is the most photogenic ;-)
gulfgal98 and our hostess, Vetwife
Left to right are orlwriter, Roxi and Charlie Grapski who held us all spellbound with his abbreviated story of the years of harassment and abuse at the hands of the Alachua County elected criminalsofficials.  (on the right is the back of rnmihayden's head)
Here is a much better shot of rnmihayden!  Now you'll be able to recognize him if you see him at Netroots.
In this shot you can see Vetwife and Vet encouraging whatGodmade to sing a tune and OleHippieChick is dancing to the music in the background.
Here is FLSNMOM with her pooch and orlwriter enjoying the beautiful Florida sunshine.
On the left is Charlie Grapski and on the right is Gordon 20024 who traveled from Virginia to meet up with us.
This is my blackmail photo.  Heh.  OleHippieChick led a yoga exercise in which gulfgal98 and DaNang65 participated.  Someone (who shall remain nameless -- my lips are sealed) said the only pose DaNang65 could do was the corpse pose.
The final photo has Vet in the front center; 2nd row l-r gulfgal98, Vetwife, OleHippieChick and me; back row is DaNang65.

What a great day!  Made to order!  Florida Kossacks and their out of state guests are the best!!!

NOTE:  Would you please take a moment and at least tip and rec this fundraising diary?  Saving alicia's voice - for zwoof's daughter

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
