I never thought I'd ever have do a "MUST SEE" diary, so you know I really, REALLY mean it.
I grew up not far from where this all went down. Southwest side of Cleveland Ohio.
A 16-year-old white girl named Amanda Berry was abducted back in 2003. Just yesterday, She managed to escape from her abductor's house, with the help of a neighbor.
There were also two other women rescued, and two little girls.
The neighbor, Charles Ramsey, has something to say. And he says it well.
ESPECIALLY at the end.
Just watch:
The real takeaway from this, is that EVERYONE in Cleveland knew the name Amanda Berry. You know the drill..............pretty white girl. Abducted. Gina DeJesus is Hispanic. Uh-huh. Michele Knight, the third woman rescued, hasn't been identified further.
But neither of their names is well-known.
Anyway, let's rejoice that this abduction story has a happy ending.
UPDATE:
Here's Amanda's call to 9-1-1, fresh out of her ten-year captivity.
A second interview of Charles Ramsey
