After reading the IG report and everything related to this scandal it really appears that in 2010 the IRS was on the lookout for Tea Party applications to approve them rather than disapprove them.
There is nothing to say this isn't true. Increased scrutiny could be positive or negative.
I'm interested in seeing all of the statistics since 2010. Increased scrutiny doesn't necessarily mean increased negative scrutiny. Requesting additional information may be to help the IRS approve suspect applicants.
Everyone seems to making the assumption that Tea Party organizations were being negatively scrutinized.
Perhaps they were being given additional scrutiny in order to help them pass scrutiny. Read the report again without the bias from this scandal.
