Darth Vader: The Emperor is pleased with your progress.
Darth Issa: I will not relent nor will I cave into the Democrats' demands to drop the investigation into the Benghazi incident. The Democrats will join us or die.
Darrell Issa. The man who gave no oversight on the Iraq War and continued to vote to increase funding for it, is going after the Benghazi incident like a bear goes after food in the trash and doesn't stop until he gets more.
In the case of Issa, the food is the evidence or lack thereof of evidence in this case which the Congressman needs to do his "oversight" on the Benghazi issue. Issa wants it. He needs it. He craves for it.
But as the Atlantic points out, Issa's continued investigation is not giving the would-be Congressman any more insight or information than before:

House Oversight Committee chair Darrell Issa has made up his mind about what happened within the Obama administration as it crafted talking points about Benghazi last September. He just can't quite prove it. So on Tuesday, Issa subpoenaed all the Benghazi talking points-related emails from 10 State Department aides, because the emails are "critical to our effort to understand how and why officials at the State Department, the White House, and other agencies revised" them.
The email that Republicans originally thought was a Benghazi smoking gun turned out not to be one. Earlier this month, they released to ABC News' Jonathan Karl what seemed like emails from White House advisor Ben Rhodes saying the talking points needed to "reflect all agency equities, including those of the State Department." It turned out to be a summary of the email, which changed its meaning. Rhodes actually said the talking points needed to be resolved "in a way that respects all of the relevant equities, particularly the investigation." That means Issa needs more Benghazi material to work with. He already has his conclusion: "Publicly available information about the talking points creates the appearance that Administration officials were interested in sparing the State Department from political criticism in the wake of the attacks," Issa wrote in his letter to Secretary of State John Kerry on Tuesday. Issa made this conclusion at least a month ago, when he signed a House report saying the same thing: "to protect the State Department, the Administration deliberately removed references to al-Qaeda-linked groups and previous attacks in Benghazi in the talking points used by Ambassador Rice."
Ahhhh, so Congressman Issa has written a letter to Secretary of State John Kerry? The straight shooter who has a reputation for being a fierce debater? Really, Issa has the audacity to do this?
Oh yes he's done it!

In his letter to Secretary of State John Kerry, Issa states that the "State Department has not lived up to the Administration’s broad and unambiguous promises of cooperation with Congress. Therefore, I am left with no alternative but to compel the State Department to produce relevant documents through a subpoena."
So what we know is that by June 7, John Kerry must submit all documents and communications referring to the Benghazi talking points from the following people:
1. William Burns, Deputy Secretary of State;
2. Elizabeth Dibble, Principle Deputy Assistant Secretary for Near Eastern Affairs;
3. Beth Jones, Acting Assistant Secretary for Near Eastern Affairs;
4. Patrick Kennedy, Under Secretary for Management;
5. Cheryl Mills, Counselor and Chief of Staff to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton;
6. Thomas Nides, Deputy Secretary for Management;
7. Victoria Nuland, Spokesperson;
8. Philippe Reines, Deputy Assistant Secretary;
9. Jake Sullivan, Director of Policy Planning; and,
10. David Adams, Assistant Secretary for State for Legislative Affairs.
Oh Congressman Issa, you just made a colossal mistake sir. What makes you believe you're going to get more information from Secretary of State John Kerry than you didn't already get from then-Secretary of State Hilary Clinton?
It seems Issa doesn't care. He'll go after who is opponent is, not who stands on his side. Maybe this is why he never did any oversight on the Iraq War during President Bush's term.
But it appears Martin Bashir on MSNBC has been able to devote a bit of a segment to get to the bottom of what makes Darrell Issa tick: His criminal past.
Darrell Issa, time is up. We're going to target your hide in 2014, even if it takes 1,000 or more calls to the DCCC to target the CA-49 district.
