I really wanted to believe the people who responded skeptically to my earlier look at Dkos meta-priorities regarding the VRA ruling, and specifically brought up the substantial number of Voting Rights Act tagged diaries. In particular, I was advised to wait until Sunday to see how the community is prioritizing the issue. Well, I have. Guess what? There were a grand total of 5 diaries tagged with "Voting Rights Act" this weekend, and 3 of them were mine. I'd be tempted to gloat over being proven right that overwhelmingly, but it's too sickening. Details below.
But hey, maybe it's been a slow weekend for diaries. Uhh...nope...
I guess we're more skeered of some cubicle rat theoretically having the power to spy on our sexting than a bunch of racist partisan tyrants actively trying to stop a quarter of the population from voting. Talk about first world problems.
6:42 PM PT: WOW, I've really struck a nerve here. The very people who insisted in the previous diary that it was invalid because I wasn't looking at tags are now insisting that tags are completely useless, then spamming personal insults when that doesn't work. They really, really, desperately don't want to talk about VRA or about their failure to talk about it.
