I've been reading a lot of diaries and comments saying that there's little or no difference between Obama and Bush, that they intend to vote for a third party, that progressives have been completely sold out and/or that hope and change have been completely betrayed, and I've begun to wonder:
How many of them are on on food stamps or other government programs that the Republicans will gut if they gain power?
How many are union members who know what a Republican NLRB will do to labor?
How many are immigrants who know that Republicans will never pass a just immigration bill?
How many are women who can imagine passage of national ultra-sound bills like the one proposed by Paul Ryan?
How many are people without voter ID who will be disenfranchised in many more states if the GOP is elected?
How many are teachers in, e.g., Wisconsin, who have seen what Republicans do to collective bargaining?
How many are people who will not get insured because they are in states where Medicaid expansion is being rejected?
How many live in coastal areas and accept that climate change will displace them if Republicans are elected and nothing is done?
How many are women who would not get birth control preventive care if the ACA is repealed as Republicans wish?
How many are government employees who will be furloughed or lose their jobs in the event of a government shutdown?
Tell them that Obama "destroyed hope and change" when Majority Leader Paul runs the Senate and President Cruz is inaugurated.
