New Hampshire's former Speaker of the House of Representatives and current congressional candidate, Bill O'Brien, was given a simple task at a Koch-funded "Americans for Prosperity' event: scare people into rejecting Obamacare.
This, my friends, is what he came up with:
“What is Obamacare? It's a law as destructive to personal and individual liberty as the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850 that allowed slave owners to come to New Hampshire, seize African Americans and use the federal courts to take them back to slave states.”
Nothing like the combination of an old, white man spouting about the legislative brainchild of a black President at a Koch-funded event.
This is a snapshot of the current GOP's continued insistence on clinging not only to its contemporary racist vestiges, but idiotic discourse as well.
Not to mention members' failure to craft sound metaphors.
