Creeeeepy
Oh. And porn as well. When your headline contains "Christian Cannibal Puppeteer" that kind of makes you sit up and notice.
No, this story is NOT from The Onion.
Remember Ronald William Brown of Largo, Florida, the 58-year-old proprietor of “Puppets Plus” who was charged last year with the possession of child pornography and of conspiring with another man to kidnap and then eat a child? Brown was a regular on a Christian Television Network kids program with his ventriloquist dummy “Marty” and would warn kids about the dangers of things like… pornography.
Earlier this week, Brown was sentenced to 20 years in prison by a Federal Judge for possession of child pornography.
For those of you who don't know the story, and I don't know if it had been blogged here, back in 2012, this Ronald Brown person was arrested on child porn charges. He and a co-conspirator were also charged with plotting to kidnap a specific child and planning to cannibalize that child.
Yes, you got that right.
Homeland Security agents who searched Brown’s mobile home and tool shed discovered images of bound and gagged kids, photographs of dead children and a flier for a missing child.
The Christian Television Network, the oldest Christian broadcasting company in Florida, featured Brown as a regular in its television show for children, Joy Junction. In the program Brown used a ventriloquist dummy named Marty. Brown also worked for years at a megachurch called Gulf Coast Church in Largo, Florida. He worked in their Children's ministry as a puppeteer (obviously). A child who was a member of the church and took part in the youth ministry was their target.
Brown's business [was] Puppets Plus (http://puppetsplus.com/...). On his site is listed a list of Brown's clients which includes: Home Depot, Kash N' Karry, Florida Power, Sunken Gardens, Evatone, Belleair Country Club, Innisbrook Resort, Cypress Run Golf Club, Seminole Lake Country Club, River Hills Country Club, McDonalds, Dillard's, Pinellas Parkside Mall, The Salvador Dali Museum, First Night in St. Petersburg, Tampa's Santa Fest, Numerous Schools, Churches, Recreation Centers, Civic Clubs, and Private Parties.

According to one Tampa blogger:
Brown and Arnett chatted about murdering children as young as two. In one chat Arnett described to Brown what it is like to drown a little girl and what different body parts taste like if roasted or fried in a pan.
Brown revealed to Arnett in another chat regarding the little boy at Gulf Coast Church that he would enjoy strangling the child to death.
Them's "Good Christian Values" right there, folks.
But really. Creepy looking 57 year old single guy, living in a trailer park, with nothing but puppets for company? And parents were going to trust their kids with him? Because he said he was "Christian"?
And for the ultimate irony, here's a clip of Brown, with his puppet Marty, talking to the kids about, you guessed it, porn:
