Strange, but all of a sudden Saint Sarah and even David Koch came out against military intervention in Syria.
Not surprising though, considering that there is nothing to grab in Syria, such as oil or other riches.
Yep, these religious neo-cons will use religion to defend their cries for war, but only if there is a pay-off for them in the end. Just people dying in the streets isn't a good enough of a reason for them.
The only oppressed people deserving of help are the ones whose territory is rich in natural resources. The rest of the poor and oppressed can see how the get on.
Reading Saint Sarahs explanation was, as always, semi-confusing and migraine inducing, so let's skip it.
David Kochs analogy of why military intervention is a bad idea is downright silly.
He worries, that the US wouldn't be able to identify their enemy, presumably because they all look alike, like Muslims no less.
He questions who actually released the chemical weapon, etc.
An, yeah, intervening in Syria would be like "sticking your head into a hornets nest"; his words, not mine.
Really? Strange we didn't hear any of this in the lead up to the Iraq war. None of these reasons against getting involved ever came up then.
Considering that the accusations against Assad very much mirror those made against Saddam Hussein back then, the only perceivable difference is that Iraq has oil and is located right next to Iran.
So, the next time a neo-con wants to either go to war or not, always search for the ulterior motive. You wont be disappointed. Nothing these people ever propose is meant to help anyone but themselves.
