Hello to all my friends in Kosack land! This is little M, and I wanted to take the time while I had the chance to thank all my Dkos friends for helping me get to my forever home. I have a brand new family, and I am learning all sorts of new things. I even have lots of new toys, and friends to play with, (even if I still have to learn not to chase the poodie cat).
Daddy is teaching me lots of new things. I am learning lots of Klingon commands, even if I don't always listen to them. I am also learning to give people dirty looks when they try to give me commands in English. Daddy thinks this is funny. I have learned to do lots of different things that make daddy laugh his head off. When I am sitting all nice and pretty, and daddy tells me to come be by him, he still has to tug on the leash yet to show me where I need to be, so, being the smart-assed little puppy I am, I have taken to waiting for daddy to tug on the leash, and then just pushing with my front feet, so that I push myself across the floor to daddy instead of having to 'actually' bother standing up, cause, you know, who wants to waste time standing up when he is just going to make me sit back down again?
Speaking of being a smart ass, daddy and I had to have a conversation the other night. One of my regular jobs has been to go sit with daddy while he is playing with the soap and water in the human sized pool that he calls a bath tub. I sit there and watch, so that if he does something silly like falling on his head, again, I can bark and call mommy, and make her get him up off the floor where he doesnt belong. Well, the other night, I thought it might be a great idea to try and climb in and play in the water with daddy. I still think it would be fun, even if he insists that there isn't enough room for the both of us. But that's ok, 'cause an “Amazing” friend brought me my very own wading pool to play in. Which means I get to try going swimming for the very first time. (daddy say he will post pictures later.)
I have also decided that I like the smaller human. She made special cookies just for us Targs to share with the humans when they have been especially good. They are made completely of puppy -and- human safe ingediance, so we can share without anyone getting sick.
I tend to spend most of my time yet playing with the other puppies, but I spend at least a couple hours a day on leash and curled up next to daddy. It lets me take a breather from play time, so I don't get over tired, but its also daddy's way of getting me used to being calm and quiet on leash, no matter how long I have to stay in one place when I am older and its time for me to actually go to work. Daddy calls it my “velcro puppy time”, because he was listening when gramma NoorB told him that I would grow up to be a velcro pup.
In short, I am quite happy with my forever home, and our new forever family, and I owe it all to all of you at Dkos! Thank you so very much, for helping me find where I belong! Now, if you will all 'scuse me, I think it is time for me to go nap. I just have to decide if I am going to go 'nap' with the smallest human, or the poodie and the other woozles!
