Seated: Eleanor of Aquitaine, King Henry II. Standing: King Phillippe II of France, Richard the Lion-Hearted, Princess Alais, Duke Geoffrey, Prince John.
With this wonderful cast, I am playing Henry II in a local production of The Lion in Winter. I thought it might be a good excuse for a Kossack Meet-Up in DeKalb, IL (@ 60 miles due west of Chicago) for the Saturday, September 21 show at 7:30 PM, preceded by dinner at a nearby restaurant. Tickets for the show are $12, but if we get a group of ten or more, they are only $10. Once I have a final headcount, I will purchase the tickets, and you can pay me back when you show up.
Please let me know by 5:00 pm Wednesday, since I will be buying the tickets that night when I go in for the pick-up rehearsal.

I fell in love with the Academy Award nominated 1968 film The Lion in Winter when I first saw it. As a thespian, Henry II is the only lead role I have really coveted (at least since I grew too old to play Geoffrey), so I am thrilled to finally have the opportunity.
I am proposing we get together for dinner at 5:30 pm at Rosita's Mexican Restaurant, which is located at 642 East Lincoln Highway, DeKalb, IL 60115, only two blocks from the Stage Coach Players Theater on 126 South 5th Street. You can follow the link to the restaurant to see their menu, and get more information on the show through that link.
Here I am with my mistress, Princess Alais:
Act I, Scene 1: "Alais, in my time I've known Contessas, milkmaids, courtesans and novices, whores, gypsies, jades, and little boys, but nowhere in God's western world have I found anyone to Love but you."
With my wife, Eleanor of Aquitaine:
Act I, Scene 2: "We have a hundred Barons for whom we must look the loving couple."
With my sons, (L-R) Geoffrey, John, and Richard:
Act I, Scene 4: "When? I'm fifty now. By God, I'm the oldest man II know; I've got a decade on the Pope! What's it to be, the broadsword when I'm 85?"

Please indicate in the comments, or by kos-mail, if you are interested in attending, or if you have any questions.
A bit of trivia, if you did not know: DeKalb is home to Northern Illinois University, which is Kos' alma mater (and my lovely wife's).
