Received this e-mail tonight from Congresman Jared Polis (D. CO-02) regarding the floods in Colorado:
Please join me in doing what you can to help the communities and individuals that have been devastated by these storms and floods. Communities in the 2nd Congressional District such as Boulder, Lyons, Estes Park and Loveland are some of the hardest hit flood areas in Colorado. My staff and I are working around the clock to provide assists to those in need.
If you have the capacity to help, please help today! Please consider helping the American Red Cross that will go to helping a Colorado flood victim, donate online or call 1-800-REDCROSS:

On Thursday, my colleagues and I began work immediately to secure federal disaster aid for Colorado. On Saturday, I was able to take an aerial tour of the region and assess the damage first hand and join in rescuing a stranded family. As I continue to fight for aid to those in need, I will carry with me the images of whole communities flooded and families fleeing the rising water to get to safety. My heart goes out to those who lost everything — with gratitude to our our brave first responders continuing to work around the clock including the National Guard, our Larimer and Boulder County Sheriff's departments, and the Red Cross.
Together, we are Colorado strong.
Sincerely,
Jared Polis
