A new Quinnipiac University national poll shows
Hillary Clinton is in a league of her own, above all potential rivals for the presidency in 2016. Hillary walks in a global political universe far beyond the reach of feckless Republican leaders, who can't even manage to keep the lights on in Washington. The polling was done the week before the government shutdown debacle so Republican numbers will only get worse as the shutdown continues. The right wing Republican nihilists and their billionaire owners have exposed the Republican leadership's inability to run their own party. They are victims of the monster they created, the Tea Party.
Hillary Clinton is quietly watching as her potential rivals self-destruct. She is far above the fray. Independent voters are running from the rudderless Republican party. They will continue to move to Hillary for stability and leadership. Her hard earned reputation as a world leader speaks for itself.
In a head-to-head contest against Republicans, Clinton would defeat Christie 49 percent to 36 percent, Paul 53 percent to 36 percent, and Cruz 54 percent to 31 percent. The survey conducted among 1,497 registered voters between Sept. 23-29 has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.5 percent.
