Looking at facebook early this morninig, I find there are a number of House republicans who have written letters asking their pay be suspended for the length of the shutdown...and that the GOP theme for all this is "Fairness" for the American people.

I'm not sure what they mean by that "fairness" thing, but thanks to their letters, I have posted several heartfelt insulting and obscene messages on their personal facebook pages and on the facebook page of the National Republican Congressional Committee...Truthful messages, if you will...

I feel somewhat better having done this, and I strongly urge those who are interested to leave them a message of your own...and please, there is no need to be polite or fair to them...Our President tried that for hie first term, and got nothing but disrespect in return.

Have a better day.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

  •  Yesterday morning we got a call (6+ / 0-)

from the Republican National Committee soliciting funds in the wake of the shutdown.

The GOP isn't even checking voter registration rolls now.  They're just carnival barking for cash.

My brief response referenced the shutdown and blamed the Republicans for said shutdown.  The caller terminated the call.

Mine were robo calls, featuring a recorded rant from some former extremist presidential candidate...No human involved, so I just blocked them.

If you visit their facebook page, they seem very proud of themselves and many of their base thinks they should just go ahead and stop doing their jobs completely.

They are all very delusional, to say the least.
