I'll tell you another thing Ms. Park Ranger, I don't know what this guy Neal Marchbanks is thinking in challenging me in my own district but I guarantee this: He and his liberal friends are behind this government shutdown.
Democratic Candidate in Texas's 19th Congressional District, Neal Marchbanks and his campaign have decided to give constituents of TX-19 the chance to sign a card for the park ranger who was harassed by Congressman Randy Neugebauer.
Below the fold are the details:
Congressperson Neugebauer’s attack on an employee doing her job to the best of her ability without pay does not reflect the basic decency and fairness of most citizens of District 19.
We believe that the goal of getting politicians with different beliefs to work together is not furthered by on-camera outbursts by our elected representatives directed against ordinary citizens who had nothing to do with plunging the nation into the current crisis.
We call upon Mr. Neugebauer to do less shouting and more working in the coming days and weeks.
In the coming days I will be sending a message to the park ranger, expressing that Mr. Neugebauer’s actions do not reflect our sentiments here in the district.
Please sign the card below for her.
I can't put the form on here so here's the link to sign:

For any of you who haven't seen the video of "Congressman" Neugebauer, here it is:
Don't forget, Neugebauer also has a voting record to defend. He was a rubber stamp and foot soldier to President George W. Bush's Iraq War. Take a look at his votes:

http://votesmart.org/...
Voted NO on removing US armed forces from Afghanistan. (Mar 2011)

Randy Neugebauer voted Nay (Amendment Vote) - H Amdt 168 - Establishes Framework for the Closing of the Detention Facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, by December 1, 2014
Randy Neugebauer voted Yea (Conference Report Vote) - HR 3289 - Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act for Defense

Randy Neugebauer voted Yea (Passage) - HR 1268 - Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2005
Randy Neugebauer voted Nay (Passage) - HR 4939 - Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2006
Randy Neugebauer voted Nay (Passage) - H Con Res 63 - Iraq War Policy Resolution (Vote to adopt a concurrent resolution that would disapprove of the decision of President George W. Bush to deploy more than 20,000 additional United States combat troops to Iraq.)
Randy Neugebauer voted Nay (Passage) - HR 1591 - Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Bill of 2007 with Iraq Withdrawal Timeline
Randy Neugebauer voted Nay (Passage) - HR 2956 - Redeployment from Iraq Act
Randy Neugebauer voted Nay (Passage) - HR 3159 - Mandatory Troop Rest Periods Between Deployments to Iraq
Yes, you can DEFINITELY sense Congressman Neugebauer cares about the troops when he votes against mandatory rest periods for troops serving in the Iraq War.
Then there are these votes:
http://www.ontheissues.org/...
http://votesmart.org/...
Voted NO on assisting workers who lose jobs due to globalization. (Oct 2007)
Voted YES on allowing electronic surveillance without a warrant. (Sep 2006)
Voted NO on extending unemployment benefits from 39 weeks to 59 weeks. (Oct 2008)
Voted Nay (Amendment Vote) - H Amdt 84 - Authorizes Funds for the Construction of United States Prison for Prisoners from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba
He supporters Guantanamo, NSA surveillance without a warrant, doesn't believe anyone should assist workers who lose their jobs due to outsourcing and doesn't believe unemployment benefits should have been extended during the worst period in the Great Recession when jobs were being eliminated in six figures on October 2008.
Here's Neugebauer being a complete hypocrite by making a speech supporting the War in Iraq for completely different reasons after the original purpose to target it was because of WMDs.

Neugebauer States Support for the U.S. Mission in Iraq
By: Randy Neugebauer
Date: June 16, 2006
Location: Washington, DC
During a lengthy debate on the progress of the War on Terrorism, Congressman Randy Neugebauer stated his strong support for the United States' mission in Iraq and for our troops who are protecting Americans by taking the fight to enemy to win the War on Terrorism.
"We have a choice," Neugebauer said. "We can fight the War on Terrorism in other places around the world or we can fight it here in America. The right choice is to fight those terrorists where they are."
On Friday, the U.S. House of Representatives approved H.Res. 861, a resolution declaring that "the United States will prevail in the Global War on Terror." The House spent ten hours debating the measure, which passed by a vote of 256-153. This debate comes on the heels of two major breakthroughs in the War on Terrorism - the formation of a full Iraqi government and the death of al-Qaeda's principal leader in Iraq, Abu-Musab al-Zarqawi.
Neugebauer also thanked the American troops for their bravery and congratulated them for their accomplishments in Iraq.
"Because of our troops' efforts in Iraq, terrorists, like Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, are being eliminated," Neugebauer said. "Because of our troops' efforts in Iraq, Iraqi Security Forces are increasingly taking control of protecting Iraqi citizens. Because of our troops' efforts in Iraq, the world no longer has to worry about Saddam Hussein and his ambitions to use weapons of mass destruction. And because of our troops' efforts in Iraq, we are safer here at home.".
That's lovely Congressman but thanks to the U.S. presence in Iraq, we're in the debt situation today because of it.
Heck of a guy, isn't he?
Now I know the TX-19 Congressional District is a whopping R+26 as rated by the Cook Report but, that shouldn't deter Democrats from firing up the base.
After all, Wendy Davis just announced she's running for Governor and that's already firing up the Texas Democratic Party and the base in the state.
Democratic Candidate Neal Marchbanks has been in the TX-19 race longer than Wendy Davis has been in hers so while he may be facing a big uphill climb, doesn't mean we should give up.
Here's Marchbanks making a press conference prior to the government shutdown:
In addition, Marchbanks has a background as a meteorologist and mathematician. Yes, like Congressman Rush Holt, Marchbanks is a scientist. We need more of them in Congress.
No reason not to fire up the base. If you can't stand Congressman Neugebauer, why not channel frustrations with him and support Neal Marchbanks for Congress?
