No, I don't think they should get their back pay, frankly, I really don't. I'm sick and tired of a massive, bloated federal bureaucracy living on our backs, and taking money out of us, a lot more money than most of us earn in the private sector, then getting a furlough, and then getting their money back at the end of it. Sorry, I'm not for that. I want to punish these people. Sorry to say that, but that's what I want to do.
I'm looking at the big picture here. I'm getting screwed. Here I am, a private citizen, paying an inordinate amount of money in tax. I've got a slow economy because it's all government, all the time. And these people are living on our backs, regulating us, telling us what to do, taxing us, taking our money, and living large. This is my chance to say "hey, I'm fed up with this and I don't miss you when you're on furlough." Sorry if that's a harsh tone, but that's the way I feel.
Okay. My turn. Just minutes ago the House voted in favor of a measure to retroactively pay furloughed federal workers by a vote of --- wait for it ---
407 to ZERO.
That's ZERO. Nada. Nothing. Zip.
As Charlie Sheen once said: 'Can you say WINNING!'
As for you Mr. Varney, you useless bag of vile flesh with lungs, if you think that I am living off the likes of YOU, if you in your delusional piece of gray matter think in your alternative universe that I make more than you, if you think I can tell you what to, take your money; if you think that I am 'living large', then here's your damn passport and there's the damn door.
Because it's clear when you came over to our country some 40 years ago, you haven't learned a damn thing about how our government works.
You see, I don't have the authority to regulate you or tax you. I have the sworned to the duty of upholding the Constitution and enacting the laws that the legislative branch of our government passes and that the President (executive branch) signs.
So if you have a beef with who is on your fff'ing back, take it up with them.
Meanwhile people like us VOTES.
And the 407 members of the House who just passed that bill understands that.
How 'bout dat.
