Received an e-mail today from State Senator Wendy Davis' (D. TX) gubernatorial campaign today asking for some input from supporters:
I love traveling across Texas, talking to people from all over our great state. Because I know that behind every face, every hand shake, there’s a story -- as unique and inspiring as Texas itself. It’s those stories that drive our campaign.

I’ve met some amazing people from Waxahachie to Corpus Christi this past week, and look forward to getting to know folks across the state in the coming weeks. But right now, I'd like to get to know you better and hear your story. Send me your story at

Building an even greater Texas for our kids and grandkids starts with every person I meet, and every story I hear -- because no one knows what’s going on in our communities, and what we can do to improve them, better than all of you.

Friend -- your stories are what the campaign we're building is all about. What challenges do you and your family face? What issues should be addressed to strengthen our families?

Texas belongs to all of us. And all Texans should have a voice in making it as great as we know it can be.

Share your story today:

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
