That's right, Republicans are substantially more likely to think that a flag originating in defense of slavery and revitalized during the fight to keep Jim Crow is appropriate high school attire than is a flag celebrating diversity and love. This news comes as we wait to find out how many Senate Republicans will vote to make it illegal to make hiring and firing decisions on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity—discrimination that is currently legal in 29 states when it comes to sexual orientation and in more than 30 for gender identity.
The Senate's first vote on ENDA will be Monday evening.
