Quick observation:
According to the SPLC, Paul Ciancia's rampage was motivated not just by NWO conspiracy theories and demonization of the TSA, but also by homophobia.
I'm surprised that this isn't more widely discussed.
Going from Mark Potok's article:
Paul Anthony Ciancia, who allegedly wounded three other TSA workers before being shot and critically wounded himself, also expressed antagonism toward the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its chief until she resigned in August, Janet Napolitano, the source said. Ciancia’s note called former Secretary Napolitano a “bull dyke” and contained the phrase “FU Janet Napolitano,” the source said.

The TSA, short for the Transportation Security Administration, is an agency of the DHS charged with ensuring the security of transportation, most notably air transportation. Although it has not been widely singled out by Patriots, it has been subjected to criticism by far-right homophobes, among others, who have alleged that TSA agents engaging in hand searches are really sexually groping travelers.
We've been discussing how the right-wing hate machine influenced Ciancia, and certainly it has, though most have been coming at it from the conspiracy-theory angle, blaming the like of Alex Jones.
But I'm thinking that Bryan Fischer and Gordon Klingenschmitt, along with their fellow homophobes in the hate machine, also share culpability. I do remember, though I don't know from where, the observation that homophobia comes from a fear that many guys have of being treated in the same way they've misogynisticly treated women. Hence the fear of the TSA's aggressive pat-downs and of the "pornoscanner" backscatter X-ray machines.
Just a thought...
