It’s time for the 5th annual Netroots Nation Holiday Bazaar (see a preview of some of this year's items below.) This year it will be held from Thursday, December 5th through Tuesday, December 9th. Hey all you talented Kossacks, are you interested in supporting Netroots Nation by donating an item? Look below the orange squiggly line for more details and a sneak preview of a few items that already are in this year's auction.
But first of all, here are some items from past year’s auction. We hope they’ll inspire you to come up with your own items. They include:
• Striking images from Joshua Tree N.P and Monument Valley
• Tin of Brownies and Hot Chocolate
• Angel Fantasy Pendant with Spiral Rope Chain
• Elijah Craig Aged 18 Year Single Barren Kentucky Bourbon Balls
• Aunt Ruby’s BBQ – Shipped to You!
• Hand-knitted Afghan by Nolan’s Mom
• Hand Quilted Polar Bear Pillow
See, there are endless possibilities! And take a look below at just a few of this year's donations. If you've got an idea out there of something you would like to see in the Holiday Bazaar, post it in a comment below. Btw, I will be co-chairing this fundraiser again with Joan McCarter.
So start thinking of ideas and feel free to donate online or contact the Netroots Nation Development Director Karen Kolber (karen at netroots nation dot org) and let her know what you would like to donate.
Thanks so much everyone and remember all proceeds benefit Netroots Nation.
P. S. Don’t forget to register for NN 2014, this year in the Motor City - Detroit, Michigan! We'll be in the newly renovated Cobo Center, located along the waterfront in an area that's the hub of much of the renovation taking place in the city. And there's a lot of that happening! While the auto industry continues its resurgence, the city is in the midst of a reinvention, attracting a creative class of newcomers and engaging longtime residents in solutions for growth and recovery.
