Fixed that one for you, Scott
Former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown appears to be taking his ongoing flirtation with New Hampshire Republicans to the next level—according to his boss at the law firm Nixon Peabody, Brown has sold his Massachusetts home and is
moving to New Hampshire. Highlighting his carpetbagger status should he decide to run for U.S. Senate in his new state, Brown will still be working in Boston, since he isn't licensed to practice law in New Hampshire.
Questions abound: Is Brown really planning to run for Senate in New Hampshire just two years after being defeated in Massachusetts? Is his eye really on the 2016 Republican presidential primary? Is he trying to deflect attention from a persistent inability to hack it at Fox News? But if one thing is clear, it's that he won't be dicking around as a de facto Wall Street lobbyist for Nixon Peabody for too much longer:
[Nixon Peabody managing partner Andrew] Glincher said Brown hasn’t made up his mind about running for the Senate, although he thinks the former senator has ambitions beyond the law firm.
“Some people, when they start, you are already writing the press release for when they leave,” Glincher said.
No, he's a staaaar, and after cashing in for a year or two, he'll be on his way back into the spotlight. At least as long as there's a neighboring state's Republican Party badly in need of a plausible Senate candidate, or the media is gullible enough to take him seriously as a presidential candidate.
