Standard disclaimer: Leave your loathing of meta, World of Warcraft, or community diaries outside. If you think we should be playing your MMO instead, start a guild and write a recruitment diary. Don't leave a comment here and then get all hurtful when it isn't received with flowers and candy. This goes double for people coming in to attack guildies over other diaries or comments - STAY OUT! Link to your recruitment diary is OK though. |
Standard advertisement: Wreck List is the Daily Kos World of Warcraft guild. We are Horde-side on the Garrosh server. To join, read this diary and visit the Guild web site to put in an application. Yes, you have to be Horde. No, you don't have to be hardcore - casuals, PvPers, and people that just want to hang out on guild chat are all welcome. |
More below the fold:
Trying to get these out earlier and get back on a schedule. Sorry if it's a little bare bones this time.
Reminder that we have a Naked Kara Run coming up on the 28th that we still need signups and feedback for. Don't let me run away with Most Derptastic Attempt here, people!
First up here's Pamena with the Team RubiPam report:
We have not got much to report in the way of progress - we've done some farming runs when folks were out over the last week, but we're still stuck on Spoils. We'll get back to it Thursday night and see if we can push through. Next week is the holiday week, so it's likely we'll just take a break then and get back at it the following week. |
Here's Ninotchka with the Team Kaels Report:
Team Kaels is still learning the Garrosh encounters. We've developed a couple of methods of getting past sticky portions of the fight, but execution is going to have to be perfect in order to make it happen and we always seem to get to the fight when someone is tired and making mistakes. Most often me.
The flexorama team is also working on the fourth wing. We're reliably getting past Blackfuse, and we're getting better at Klaaxi. On our few tries at Garrosh we've gotten to the second phase, so it's a matter of time before we get him, too.
Both groups will likely have light attendance for the next two weeks, what with holidays and stuff. Reporting will be light as well.

And here's Tvath with the Team Z Report:
Team Z is celebrating! We cleared Throne of Thunder on Sunday, downing Lei Shen on our second pull, with excellent work from everyone. I was getting pretty sick of lightning effects and enemies yelling "Unleash the storm!" so it was a relief to move on to Siege of Orgrimmar (with extra break time so people could do happy dances in their living rooms, or maybe just get another beverage).
And then to top off an already successful evening, we downed the first boss in Siege -- Immerseus, the big blobby fountain of goo. (OK, the Dungeon Journal calls him/her/it "a living embodiment of the Vale's sorrow," which is a much nicer way to describe a big blobby fountain of goo.) Now we're actually getting loot we can use!
A lot of credit for the quick Immerseus kill should probably go to Ninotchka, organizer of the Tuesday flex raids which introduced many of us to these fights. "Normal" 10-person raiding is a step more difficult than flex, but it is still very helpful to have experience, particularly under such skilled leadership.
We may be without our trusty tank Brumal this weekend, as he is moving across the country! Safe travels to him.
|
Good job Team Z! And good luck to Brumal on your cross country move - those can be a pain in the ass, I hear.
I hear we got some new officers! Here's Pamena with the details:
New Officers!
Dkosmama has expanded our corps of Heroes, the rank that has guild invite privileges, to recognize long and stellar guild participation and to spread the burden of duties a bit - Rubidium, Baelzebeef and Darkaria are all now heroes, with invite privileges, so feel free to hit them up with your alt inviting needs! Also, our newest guild Champion is Cylen, without whom neither Team Kaels nor Team RubiPam would be at all the same (or in Team RP's case, even functional.) Grats guys!

And finally we have the Saturday Night Massacre report from Pamena:
Sat Night Massacre:
We tried a flex of the first wing of SoO last Saturday with reasonable success, despite a very crabby priest who kept yelling at people. This week, no SNM scheduled, but I think some folks may get together and do some heritage runs, which sounds great. The big Naked Kara Race is Dec. 28th, under Nina's leadership - should be really fun.
I am going to talk to a couple of people about rotating organization of SNM - it's a great event and people love it, but it's wearing me out to organize it every week. So I will see if a couple of other folks can join with me in taking turns running it starting in January.

Had a great time running the flex SoO and got three pieces of gear. Which means I have to get my
transmogs reforges and gems straightened out again.
That's all I have this week. For the Horde!
