Looking from without to within the battle to have health insurance in the US has always been a little bit crazy.
The media generated hysteria over a botched website; so much clutching of pearls, that the clattering was deafening.
Now it appears that they have reached for a different hymn sheet as I am seeing more and more of this:
Beneath health law’s botched rollout is basic benefit for millions of uninsured Americans
The memory of 47million uninsured seemed to have slipped the hive mind of the MSM when the opportunity to whine trumped all, the reasoning behind a much needed reform of a cruelly dysfunctional and expensive system hidden behind political hackery.
Is it perfect, not by a long shot, does it have a chance of working, more than likely, can it be improved, you betcha.
We have suffered the endless drone of obstructionism with the tacit approval of the sensationalist seeking press, but the tone of the discourse is changing. Soon the hysteria generated by the terminally ignorant will pass and in the cold hard light day the teahadist driven shenanigans will be seen for what they are, the politics of greed.
The story is changing and it is time for some of our own to realize that this paradigm-shift in how health care is to be viewed as a positive for their re-election cause.
It is also long past time for our media to drop the misinformation and downright lies and start some positive criticism of how the system can be improved, rather than lighting the fuse in the name of selling copy.
The tone is changing, just you wait and see.
