RBKA or the Right to Breed and Keep Animals is A Daily Kos group of animal lovers who have liberal values. We don't think that loving animals ( at least not physically, although we might indulge in the odd caress and kiss) means you are anti liberal. Some of us are extreme in our pro animal views (no licensing or restrictions whatsoever) and some of us are more moderate (no salt water crocs in the patio pool).
Moderate or extreme, we hold one common belief - more animal controls means lost elections.
If you like Pooties and Wurzels, horses or hamsters, come and join us in our conversation
Please be civil.
We at RBKA are generally a pretty liberal leftwingish bunch, but at heart we are single issue voters, which is why we are having to support
Mark “Coonrippy” Brown in his race for Governor of that fine animal loving state of Tennessee on the republican ticket.
Mr Brown, who looks a little like Phil Robinson without the charm, is rightfully upset that the Tennessee Wildlife Authorities seized his loveable pet racoon Rebbekah (no relationship to Rupert Murdoch past or present despite the eye make up and with whom he took his annual shower) after she had raided a couple of chicken coops. Come on guys - Coons will be Coons, and chickens are what coons do.
Now Coonrippy, being a law abiding citizen, with a strong belief in the constitution did the right thing and petitioned Governor Haslam for Rebekkah's release, but got a response worthy ofKing George III
According to Brown, Republican Gov. Bill Haslam refused to accept his petition — with over 60,000 signatures — asking for a permit to keep Rebekah.
“Gov. Haslam ignored the cries from the entire United States,” he explained. “He can free prisoners, he can pardon people, but he refused the online petition and refused to accept the letter… All eyes were on Tennessee and it made us look bad. It made it look like we were under Caesar’s law.”
“We’ve got to take this country back one state at a time,” Brown vowed. “We live in the United States of the Offended — not the United States of America.”
So now Coonrippy is going to primary Haslam for the republican ticket for Governor's mansion, and have his back. Coonrippy being a licensed firearm dealer means he has the gun vote locked up.
